AB Sports Performance is a personal training and coaching company that operates in the South Shore area of Tampa, FL. Owner and founder Andrew Burdick focuses on helping clients achieve their athletic, aesthetic, and health goals through a combination of strength-based training and quality nutrition. Under his guidance, clients learn how to make better nutritional choices and improve the skills they need to operate independently in the gym.

Our Process
Consultation
During your complimentary consultation you’ll interact with us either in person (if you live locally) or on zoom (if you live further away or feel safer doing so) in order for us to get an idea of what your long- and short-term goals are. If you are a programming client, we need to know what kind of fitness equipment and facilities you have access to so that your plan doesn’t include exercises you can’t perform due to needing specialty equipment. We will also ask basic lifestyle questions related to your current fitness level, the kind of time you have available to fit in your workouts, and what kinds of exercise activites you find appealing so that your program reflects physical activity you want to and are capable
Assessment
During your consultation, we will be assessing your movement patterns, history of injuries, and overall fitness level. We would never give you an exercise that was dangerous or painful to complete, so it is important to know where you are currently at. For the movement assessment, we will ask you to hold a series of positions and perform a series of movements that show your range of motion limitations, stability and control levels, and experience performing specifics movements related to exercises like a squat, hip hinge or sprint mechanics.
Grind Time
Once you have decided to sign up with us, you’ll receive your personalized 4-week program. It will contain exercises that are in line with your current capabilities and fitness level that you can perform with the equipment you have access to. You’ll stay in touch with us via social media, text, or email throughout the four weeks to check in and give/get feedback on your current program. We’d like to see 1 video per workout session of an exercise you feel like you did really well on, or one that you feel like you need coaching on. Once the 4-week program is up, you’ll have an hour long session (either in person or via zoom) to check in with your progress and introduce you to any new exercises or movements that you’ll encounter on your next 4-week program.
